Landscaping in Camas, WA
Camas is the most technically demanding part of our service area and some of our favorite work. The terrain around Prune Hill and above Lacamas Lake is genuinely steep, and steep ground is where the difference between a real contractor and a crew with a plate compactor shows up fast.

Slopes and terracing
A lot of Camas back yards are unusable not because they are small but because they fall away. Making them usable means terracing — breaking one tall grade into two or three shorter walls with flat, planted space between them. Terracing is usually cheaper and always better looking than one tall engineered wall, and it gives you level ground you can actually put furniture on.
Basalt near the surface
Parts of Camas and Washougal have basalt rock close to grade. It changes excavation entirely: what would be a two-hour dig in Ridgefield clay can need a hammer attachment here. We would rather find that during the site walk and price it honestly than discover it on day two and hand you a change order.
Critical areas and steep slopes
Camas and Clark County both regulate work on steep slopes and near wetlands and streams, and the area around Lacamas and Round Lake has plenty of both. Projects on a steep hillside or near a designated critical area often need review and sometimes engineering. We flag it early rather than after you have committed.

Five stars, from people who let us in their back yard
Reviews below are from our verified Thumbtack profile. We would rather show you four real ones than a wall of anonymous quotes.
Marak did a FANTASTIC job from start to finish. If I could I’d give him 10 stars. He designed and built the garden bed. He filled it with good soil; and he transplanted my irises and some other plants. He was great at communicating; he was on time; he cleaned up. His prices were reasonable (in middle of quotes I got). I’d use him again in a New York minute.Kathleen P.Verified Thumbtack review
Marak and his team did a great job for our backyard and side yard. Very good craftsmanship and work quality. We will definitely hire them again for future projects!Jenny B.Verified Thumbtack review
Marak did such a great job for me. He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions for things I didn't think about. He was always there when he said he would be and worked so fast. I highly recommend!!!Pamela P.Verified Thumbtack review
